Capricorn Technologies Releases New Intel-Based Products in PetaBox Family

San Francisco, CA, January 21, 2005 – Capricorn Technologies today announced the GB1000P4 and GB1600P4, the newest members of the PetaBox family of storage products..
Both the GB1000P4 and the GB1600P4 are 1U storage nodes based on Intel P4 CPUs operating at speeds of up to 2.8GHz. They provide 1.0TB and 1.6TB of raw storage capacity respectively. The enhanced compute power available in the P4 products supports a variety of functions such as cluster management and monitoring services, crawler and search engine applications, or general computation.

Features included in the GB1600P4 and GB1000P4 are:

Products are shipping and are available in full production quantities now.
